Post Image So after working all day at the coffee shop I am beyond beat. There is no latte in the world large enough to propel me through dinner and dishes ahead!  Keep in mind as a secret challenge I decided not to do the dishes last night and see if the Hubby would be so kind on his day off to catch what few pots and pans there were from last night. I wasn't so lucky.

So after I got home the Hubby went out for a jealousy run (A term i like to use when I think he feels he needs to "catch up" to my daily running "score") He said 30 minutes (which was more like 50) and there i stood. Staring at those darn dirty dishes knowing the ones yet to be soiled from tonight where already haunting me!  So I sucked it up, like all moms do at some time or other and started dishes. BUT NOT  until i got my running clothes on!

Oh yeah! I washed the old dirty dishes in my running clothes, started dinner and set a timer. Then it was my time!!!!!

Hubby was back. I secretly watched the clock for the appropriate amount of time where I wasn't running out the door as he shut it behind him but I had sufficient amount of time to get a run in for the night that would let me forget the troubles a sink full of dirty dishes can give.

Three.... Two... One...

Out I was. I hit my super favorite route and decided it would be best if I did speed work to get out my frustrations on the hubby off onto the pavement.

Blah.. blah... blah...

As ke$ha cheered me on I met my route with perfect time and was very happy by time my turn around spot came.  I had forgotten all about those pesky dishes and what my hubby did or did not do while I was working today. (apparently he cant read my mental list I didnt leave for him. Who knew) Then about half way back it hit me.....

Why did I run so fast?
Sure it felt GREAT! And was the perfect way to lift my spirits, but  then again it only got me back to those dirty dishes faster. Epic Fail.
Oh well, there is always more dirty dishes and laundry waiting for me in a day or two that will require a short run. Or if I am lucky I will fall weak at work and trip and fall over a blueberry scone and be forced to eat it (always a favorite motivator for running)

Until next time, BEWARE OF DIRTY DISHES they just might make you healthy!
